Fall is officially here and the holidays are not far behind. For 100 kids in the St. Louis area Christmas is coming early this year! Ashley HomeStore (AHS), in conjunction with the St. Louis Blues Hockey Club, is going to give them an entire bed set of their very own on Friday, November 3rd.

Ashley HomeStore and the St. Louis Blues are hosting a “Hope to Dream” event at Scottrade Center, located at 1401 Clark Ave. One hundred children that do not have beds will receive an entire bed set at the event. Each bed set includes a twin mattress set, pillow, sheets and comforter. These children were selected through Ashley HomeStore’s Hope to Dream and Blues for Kids programs. This year we also collaborated with the Jackie Joyner Kersee foundation in selecting the kids who would receive a bed.

“Hope to Dream” is an initiative started by AHS to provide children in the community who do not have a bed to call their own – their very own bed. A portion of all mattress sales at AHS goes toward supporting the “Hope to Dream” program.

Chad Spencer, President of the Dufresne Spencer Group, the largest licensee of Ashley HomeStores, is passionate about this program and is excited to bring this event to St. Louis. “We can have the greatest product at the best price, but if we don’t serve the guest and give back to the community that supports us, we are spiritually bankrupt as a company. That’s why events like this and Hope to Dream are so important to us at Ashley HomeStore,” says Spencer.

Friday’s event also includes fun kids activities, goal practice on the ice, photo booth, pizza party (Provided by Papa John’s), tasty treats (Provided by Sugarfire Pie) and gift bags for each of the children provided by Ashley HomeStore and the St. Louis Blues.

The event begins Friday, November 3rd at 5:30 p.m. (CT) with registration, followed by fun activities and the photo booth from 5:30-6:00pm. The kids will be surprised with their very own bed set to take home at 7:30p.m. Representatives from the St. Louis Blues and the Jackie Joyner Kersee Foundation as well as executives from Ashley HomeStore are scheduled to speak at the event. This is a ticketed event but you can follow the link below to apply for future events

The event’s festivities wrap up at 8:00 p.m. (CT). For more information on Friday’s “Hope to Dream” event, contact Lauren Hamsley at
